History Comes to Life at the Newseum in Washington, DC

With media-related exhibits and galleries, this 250,000-square-foot building offers one of the most interesting, interactive experiences in Washington, D.C. Each of the Newseum's seven levels provides a unique perspective on how news impacts our shared experience of historic moments. With 15 different galleries and 15 theaters, there's plenty to see and do, whether you're looking to fill a few hours or an entire day. Enhance your experience with a guided private tour. Get behind-the-scenes information on the most famous stories ever told and get up close with rare Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs of 9/11 and the fall of the Berlin Wall.   • Is there parking? Can I take the Metro to Newseum?

    There are several parking lots and garages near the Newseum, but they do offer on-site parking for even more convenience. Rates are $10 for the first hour and $20 for over. There is a flat rate of $15 on weekends. Entrance to the Newseum parking garage is on C Street. Since parking is limited, public transportation is recommended. Take  the Metro to Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter (Green Line and Yellow Line ) or Judiciary Square (Red Line).

    Yes. The Newseum offers great dining at The Source by Wolfgang Puck. This acclaimed restaurant features a casual menu with a bar and grill ambiance.
