FAQs

  • Does the White House Offer Tours?

Public tours are a great way to explore The White House and see beautiful artwork and fascinating artifacts. Self-guided tours are available Tuesday through Saturday and are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Requests can be submitted through your state's Member of Congress up to three months in advance and no less than 21 days in advance. Limited number of spaces are available, so if you can't make it there in person, take a virtual tour at www.whitehouse.gov. This online journey through the historic halls of this American institution is a great way to get a sneak peek before your trip as well.
  • What’s the easiest way to get there?

Located at 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, the White House Visitor Center is easy to get to, but offers limited public parking. For this reason, the office strongly encourages visitors to use public transportation. From our hotel, you can hop on the Metro (Blue/Orange/Red/Silver Line) and get right to President's Park.
